Well?Just like any other strategy in real estate, it pays off to understand the proper way to execute the strategy before you get caught up in a deal that?s not really a deal.

I?ve seen way too many wanna-be Green Real Estate Investors screw up on this part.? They think that they understand how Greenhabbing works and jump into a Green Rehab project and before you know it, they?ve gone over budget on their rehab by $15,000 and don?t have a lot to show for it.

Remember, as a Greenhabber, the key is to decrease your costs as much as possible and increase your profits on the back end.? The best way to do this is to understand which materials you need to use on your rehab project to decrease the overall energy costs of the home.? When you can decrease the energy costs, you are creating a high performance green home.? This is key to increasing your profits on every green rehab project that you do.

If you do not get educated 1st, there are many opportunities for you to purchase the wrong materials or buy green products that really do not help increase the value of your home.? Just because it says ?green? or ?eco-friendly? as home depot does not mean you need to buy it and put it in your green rehab project.? This is the main mistake that new greenhabbers make and it does not take a lot to go over budget and get frustrated and assume that Greenhabbing does not work.
